Match of the Week & King/Queen of the Night – Friday April 16th, 2021

Off the heels of an epic WrestleMania week, the best matches and performers from this past week in pro wrestling have a bit of a “Show of Shows” feel if you know what we mean!

NXT UK Championship -Rampage Brown vs WALTER – NXT UK “The Prelude” – April 8th, 2021

Only a man like WALTER could defend his title twice in the same day on two different contents. Although his NXT TakeOver Stand & Deliver match with Tomasso Ciampa was a stunning show stealer, it didn’t hold a candle in the eyes of the HBIC to his match that he had on NXT UK earlier that day. We were SECONDS away from crowning a brand new NXT UK Championship, something we don’t really get to say often.

WWE Universal Championship – Daniel Bryan vs Edge vs Roman Reigns – WrestleMania 37 (Night 2) – April 11th, 2021

It was a demolition derby of a triple threat main event the likes we have not seen before and maybe never will again. Edge and the two other future WWE Hall of Famers Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan all showed that they could have easily won this match. In the end, it was the head of the table who came out on top…albeit with a little familial help.

SmackDown Women’s Championship – Bianca Belair vs Sasha Banks – WrestleMania 37 (Night 1) – April 10th, 2021

This will go down in history as one of the best main events in the history of WrestleMania for many reasons. For starters, it was the first time two African-American Women main evented the grandest stage of them all. Even more so, it was an AMAZING match. An instant classic loved by fans and critics alike. You will be hard pressed to find someone who disliked this unforgettable encounter.

Queen of the Night: Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair is a STAR after her performance in the main event of WrestleMania 37 Night 1. The fastest person to go from NXT to the main event of WrestleMania in history, Bianca Belair proved that she is undoubtedly the EST of WWE at WrESTleMania!

King of the Night: Bad Bunny

I do not think anyone thought that Bad Bunny would be THIS GOOD! We know he had been training and dedicated a considerable amount of time to learn the basics of the sport, but to do a CANADIAN DESTROYER on the outside of the ring was a site to see. Mix in the best WrestleMania entrance this year and Bad Bunny earned a TON of respect from everyone inside and outside of the ring!

Queen of the Night: Sasha Banks

At this point in her career, you can argue that Sasha Banks is the GREATEST female performer in the history of wrestling. Even in a loss she wins. Sasha has gone toe to toe with the likes of Asuka, Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Io Shirai within a small span of time, giving them some of their best matches. After her well earned main event performance against Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks helped keep the tradition going of making a new star and ensuring that the future of women’s wrestling is in good hands. Now that’s BOSS.

Come back next week for the best performers and matches from the first week after WrestleMania!
